The Summer of Colour

Well better late than never!
It has been a peculiar week to say the least. Moments of quiet calm interspersed generously with mad crazy moments.

My good friend Val is a member of Kindred Spirits who have a wonderful exhibition on at the moment.  I called in yesterday, it is truly gorgeous.
A moment of that quiet calm.
On the way home we called into the supermarket for some food.  We couldn't get past a group of women and their children so I called out "Excuse me!".  I was told that I should have said please!
This is the first time I have been told off for being polite.  Perhaps I should have said "Shift Please!"
Very definitely a crazy moment!

Here we are at the last week of the Summer of colour.  This has been a wonderful ride.  I had been in a creative wilderness for quite some time as my muse had run away for a rest.  This challenge has brought her back to me and I am so happy for that.
I am going to make a book from the pieces of art I created here as I haven't done any book binding for some time but I thought I would create a little digital collage of my Summer to show you here.

Don't forget to pop along to Kristin's blog and see other artists fabulous work.
Thank you Kristin for your hard work to make this a wonderful challenge.  It has been an honour and a pleasure to be part of this.
And, Yay!  We will be doing it again next year with colours inspired by ice cream.  Yum, can't wait.

Big thank you to each and everyone who took the time and called in here.  Every visit is very much appreciated.
Sending big hugs, Alis
