"What Blueberries!!!"
This is my piece for The Summer of Colour challenge.
The colour for last week was blue and it is quite obvious that this fairy has eaten far too many blueberries as they have turned her blue!
I enjoyed making this piece as I have used some techniques new to me.
The fairy is a scan of my drawing in Prismacolour pencils and watercolours. The background is a photograph of a textile piece I made for a hanging.
I combined them in a digital scrapbook programme and added all the other elements there too.
I have done a little digital scrapping but not using my own backgrounds to create a digital collage.
I rather enjoyed it and I am sure the headaches and bad language will decrease as my skill increases.
DH hopes so too!!!!!

Hi Alis - your Blueberry Girl is just amazing, and the digi collaging is incredible! You must show me how you do that digi collaging when you come over (keep practising!)....
She's a total beauty. Funnily enough I was going to add a digital background to my piece, but I just ran out of time (I was finishing her off at gone 11pm last night!).
