Mermaid's best friend.

I can't believe we are at the last colour challenge for The Summer of Colour.  It has been a great challenge and some wonderful art has been produced (I am still playing catch up on reading your blogs).
I do hope that Kristin will do something like this again.  She has been a wonderful host and has inspired so many of us.  Thank you so much Kristin.

Orange is our last colour.

My constant companion in this life is Fred my scruffy dog. Wearing orange of course ;0)

But if I was a mermaid (I would love to live in the sea) I am sure my best friend would be a seahorse.

I have always loved seahorses, they are such wonderful looking creatures and the females get the males to carry the babies.  How great is that!  Bet my daughter wished she had been a seahorse ;0)

If any of you are in North Devon for the next 2 weeks, there is a great craft fair on at Lee.  11am to 5pm every day. It has some wonderful items from local crafts people and you will be able to see such things as glass painting, wood turning, gorgeous jewellery, and lovely handmade cards.  There are more things to see including some of my artwork.

Sending hugs, Alis

Alis, the seahorse brought back wonderful memories for me of a trip I took with my sister and daughters to Florida years ago. I saw a seahorse swimming in a bay. We went slowly by in a boat and watched it swim. It was amazing seeing one in "real life" in a natural setting. Your picture captures the beauty of seahorses perfectly!

Beautiful, beautiful seahorse Alis - don't know where you found the time this last week, being a new MuMa! Hope to get up to the Craft Fair - see you there!

I love his treat bag! My bulldog would love that since food is on his mind 24/7!
I wish I was a seahorse as well, all three times!! Love the seahorse, so pretty!

I love your seahorse. The richness of the blues really sets off the orange perfectly.
